TRUSTIE™: Tiny Rotating Ultrasonic Tube Inspection Equipment, is a solution tailored for ultrasonic inspection of thin-walled, small-diameter tubing, notably utilized in CANDU steam generators and heat exchangers. Leveraging SolidWorks, I made prototype drawings of a TRUSTIE system, facilitating its machining for laboratory application. Noteworthy efforts were directed towards accommodating transducers and connectors within a compact probe body, enabling seamless navigation through restricted entry points and narrow bores. Moreover, the entire system was engineered for assembly with personal protective equipment (PPE), prioritizing technician safety by minimizing exposure to radiation fields during on-site operations.
